A Legacy of Excellence Since 1865
From the Vineyards of Minervois to the World

1865 | The Visionary Beginning
Bernard Andrieu Everything began with Bernard Andrieu, a passionate vineyard owner in the heart of the Minervois region. Driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he didn't just produce his own wine; he began sourcing from neighbors to supply the bustling town counters, taverns, and cabarets. His wine became the lifeblood of Sunday banquets and wedding feasts.

1900 | The Merchant’s House
Jean Andrieu & The "Maison de Commerce" Following the Great War, the second generation took the reins. Jean Andrieu, a law graduate from Montpellier, joined the family business to rebuild and expand. By marrying Jeanne Dauly, also from a wine merchant family, the Andrieu-Dauly partnership was born. Located near the City of Carcassonne in Rieux-Minervois, the company became a central hub for distributing the aromatic and bold wines of the arid, windswept Minervois soils to the entire country.

1945 | Crossing Horizons
Henri Andrieu & The Mediterranean Expansion The third generation saw Henri Andrieu look toward new horizons in North Africa. Recognizing the exceptional quality of Algerian vineyards, he founded Andrieu-Fulcrand. Within a decade, the company became a major player in bulk wine trading, mastering the entire supply chain from their own truck fleet to the "pinardier" ships that carried blended wines back to French ports.

1960 | Global Reach & Modernization
Returning to France amidst political shifts, Henri pivoted the business toward bottled wines by acquiring the "FARAGUI" company. This era marked a massive expansion:
-
Widespread Distribution: From epiceries to modern supermarkets and luxury hotels (CHR).
-
Infrastructure: Warehouses spanning from Auxerre to Monaco.
-
Global Partnerships: Expansion into international markets including Tahiti, Reunion, and various African nations.
-
Brand Creation: Promoting prestigious appellations such as Corbières, Minervois, and Côtes du Rhône.

1975 – Today | The Return to the Soil
The fourth generation represented by Henri Jean and the fifth generation represented by Edouard & Jules, are aware of the need to equip themselves with innovative material.
Edouard and Jules, entered the family business in 100%. With their father, they invest in a winery modern and efficient. The tool is then the key to ensure the quality of their cuvées and allows the company to always be competitive.
